Yap leads winners of AVGCC December golfest

CEBU, Philippines - Wendell Yap led the winners of the December Monthly Medal of Alta Vista Golf and Country Club in Pardo, Cebu City played last December 28.

Yap carded five-over-par 77 strokes to win the lowest gross honors for class A.  He had nines of 37 and 40.

Hospicio ‘Razi’ Razon took the lowest net honors for the premiere handicap category with his 73 strokes edging Kim Kwang Seok in the countback.  Kim settled for the runner-up honors.

The lowest gross honors for class B went to Benjie Hortelano, who fired 84 strokes on nines of 40 and 44.

The lowest net title for class B went to Rolando Alberto with 68 strokes off a gross score of 85.  Runner-up honors went to Masahaisa Kawakami with 73 strokes.

Doli Cabahug carded 93 strokes to take the lowest gross honors for class C.  The lowest net plum for this division went to Philip Huang with 67 strokes off a gross 99 while runner-up honors went to Michael Lim with 74 strokes.

The lowest gross honors for the seniors’ (55 to 69 years old) category went to club treasurer Ramon Sebastian with 80 strokes.

The lowest net trophy was won by Jun Zosa with 73 while club director Vicente Go won the runner-up honors with 74 strokes edging Ernie Uy in the countback.

David Villono won the lowest gross honors for the superseniors (70 years old and above) category firing nine-over-par 81 strokes.  The lowest net award for the group went to Ed Sanchez with 73 strokes.

Ericka Lim topped the ladies division with a gross score of 76 strokes. She had nines of 37 and 39.  The lowest net plum for the distaff side went to Emma Bayer with 76 strokes.

Jayson Anderson won the lowest gross honors for the guest division while the lowest net award went to Fortunato Uy.

Kawakami won the nearest to the pin special award leaving six feet and six inches for a birdie putt on the par-3 hole number 6.  Ericka Lim had the most accurate drive on the 11th landing her tee shot four inches from the center line. (PR from www.fullpointcebu.com)
