CEBU, Philippines - Enrollment is still going on for the weekly basketball training camp offered by Sunsport at the Sacred Heart Center Sports Club along D. Jakosalem Street, this city.

The five-week cage clinic will be held on Saturdays, kicking off last July 6 and ending on August 3. It  covers two hours per session from 12nn to 2 pm.

Camp director Giovannie “JoJo” Romarate said in the course of their training, the participants will learn both the fundamental and technical aspect of the sport.

"We will impart to our students the fundamentals of the sport such as proper shooting, dribbling, passing, footwork and other related drills," said Romarate, presently the head coach of Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology (SCSIT) Skyblazers.

"Aside from that basics of basketball, they will also be taught on some offensive and defensive strategies, on-court communication and other technical aspect of the game," he added. "Above all these drills, we want to instill in them the value of hardwork, discipline and teamwork as well as the spirit of sportsmanship, which is the very essence of a well-rounded athlete."

Registration fee is pegged at P1,000 inclusive of an upper jersey and a Sunsport basketball 2013 edition.
