Four houses affected, 1 hurt as wall collapses

CEBU, Philippines — Two houses were totally destroyed while two others were damaged after a perimeter fence collapsed amid the heavy downpour yesterday afternoon in Nivel Hills in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City.

Archie Avala, a member of the Cebu City Quick Response Team, said one person was injured during incident. He identified the victim as Boboy Tabarno.

Avala said the four families affected were rescued and are now temporarily staying with their relatives.

According to Avala, the houses were made of light materials.

Residents living nearby were also advised by the quick response team to evacuate to safer place.

The city disaster team has yet to come up with an estimate of the damage as of press time. FPL (FREEMAN)
