Atlas Mining, Carmen Copper sponsor spelling contest

CEBU, Philippines - Atlas Mining and Carmen Copper will sponsor the 1st Regionwide Spelling Bee on February 21.

The Spelling Bee was initiated by the Rotary Club of Cebu and is organized by Cebu Hub for English Learning Excellence (CHELE) in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) - 7 to improve the English skills of elementary and secondary students in Central Visayas.

Ramos(3rd from left) turned over the check worth P500,000 to Rotary Club of Cebu President Robin S. Ong. Also present during the turnover of the check were CHELE Executive Director Thomas Magee and Department of Education Region 7 Director Carmelita T. Dulangon, as well as Carmen Copper VP and Resident Manager Rodrigo C. Cal and Rotary Club members. (FREEMAN)
