BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Camp John Hay Hotel assembled 106 points to lead Hotel Bahia by four in the Fil-A division after the first day of the 72nd Fil-Am Men’s Invitational seniors competition at the Camp John Hay Golf Club.

Ramon Luis Garcia topscored for CJH Hotel with 29 points and was backed up with the 27 of Federico Mandapat and 25 each from Shean Bedi and Ronald Samaniego.

Hotel Bahia was led by 27 of Dasen Chen, 26 of Rudy Amata, 25 of Raoul Jorge and 24 of Jose Antonio Olives.

A distant third with 93 points was Robros-JV Golf Team 1. Teddy Quizon had 30, Enrico del Rosario made 24, Emiliano Mendoza shot 22 and Antonio Mecado added 17.

Moto carded 92 to be in fourth spot, followed by Team Okinawa’s 85, Team Na Koa 1’s 84, D’Young Ones’ 83 and Macquarie Links Sydney Team 1’s 79.

In the Am-C division, Mar Bustos carded 23 to spearhead the attack of Baguio Country Club Team 2, which finished with 73 at the Baguio Country Club. Edgar Dinge 19, Anthony Co 16 and Rafael Ding 15 were the other scorers.

Chemsol-Flowtork pooled in a 70 while Davao Eaglemasters II and Solid North Transit each submitted a 65.

The two-week event is held in partnership with Baguio Country Club, Camp John Hay Golf Club, The Manor, The Forest Lodge and Le Chef. Event presenters are 3K Rock Engineering and Construction Corp., Toyota, Boysen and Columbia Sportswear.

Major sponsors are Palm Grove, Britanny Corp. and Asiatraders Corp. while minor sponsors are Time Cargo Logistics, Lola Nena’s, K&G, Rudy Project, JTEN Sports, Inc., Januarius Holdings, Beer Below Zero and Tee Sports Gear. Hole-in-one sponsors are Spes Construction, Inc., Noah Business Applications and Laus Group of Companies.
