Ginebra acquires Jeff Chan in trade with Phoenix
MANILA, Philippines – Barangay Ginebra has acquired shooting guard Jeff Chan from Phoenix in exchange for a first round pick in the 2018 PBA Draft, a source tells Philstar.com.
In getting Chan, the Gin Kings — touting a 3-5 win-loss record — have finally addressed their need for a deadeye shooter who could help them in their push for a quarterfinals berth in the ongoing Commissioner’s Cup.
The Fuel Masters, on the other hand, now have an additional pick in the PBA Draft later this year. They are set to pick fourth in the first round and will now get Ginebra's selection, which is at 10th.
The PBA on Monday confirmed the trade in their Twitter account.

Ginebra will be Chan’s fourth team in his 10-year PBA career after Red Bull, Rain or Shine and Phoenix. A former Far Eastern University standout, he was picked 17th overall by Red Bull in the 2008 draft.
