MANILA, Philippines — Che’Lu Bar and Grill-San Sebastian and Zark’s Burgers-Lyceum try to arrange an interesting showdown for the PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup crown as they go for a sweep over their top-seeded rivals at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig today.

The No. 4 Revellers tangle with the Akari-Adamson Falcons at 2 p.m. while the sixth-ranked Jawbreakers collide with the Marinerong Pilipino Skippers at 4 p.m., both eager to finish off the Nos. 1 and 2 teams, respectively, for a crack at the championship.

Che’Lu Bar and Grill-SSC banked on new acquisitions Cedrick Ablaza, Jeff Viernes and Jay-R Taganas to fashion out a shock 70-60 win over the Falcons last Tuesday. But coach Stevenson Tiu said he would need to draw more support from his San Sebastian core to take the clincher.

“I need consistency also from my off-the-bench players, not just from the veterans. I have to get more from the SSC boys although they helped the team defensively,” said Tiu.

But the Falcons have vowed to bounce back with Jerrick Ahanmisi, Papi Sarr, Sean Manganti and Jonathan Espeleta raring to make up for their struggle in Game One Tuesday.
