MANILA, Philippines — Alyssa Valdez is set to debut for Thai club team 3BB Nakornont.

3BB confirmed that Valdez will play on Saturday against the equally powerful Bangkok Glass.

While Valdez will make history as the first Filipino to play in the Thai League, 3BB is not short of achievements considering it was only founded in 2011.

So while we wait for Valdez's Thai debut, here are three things you might not know about 3BB Nakornont.

It is home to some of former and present Thailand national team members

The one-time Thailand League champion boasts a handful of former and current players who played for the national squad.

2016 Thai-Denmark MVP Pornpun Guedpard played for 3BB before transferring to Bangkok Glass. Surasawadee Boonyuen also played for 3BB before suiting up for Idea Khonakaen.

3BB libero Wanna Buakaew made history as the first Thai player to play in Europe. She is currently playing for Allianz MTV Stuttgart.

Setter Tichaya Boonlert and Pimpichaya Kokram are playing for the national team.

Foton import Lindsay Stalzer played for the team

"Honorary Pinay" Lindsay Stalzer, who helped the Foton Tornadoes capture back-to-back Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix crowns, also donned the 3BB jersey.

Stalzer teamed up with Senegal's Fatou Diouck and powered 3BB to a runner-up finish in the 2015 Thai-Denmark Super League behind Bangkok Glass

Amporn Hyapha played for Filipino team Cagayan Valley

Former 3BB player and Thai national team member Amporn Hyapha played for the Cagayan Valley Lady Rising Suns in 2014.

Hyapha helped Cagayan capture the Shakey's V-League Reinforced Conference championship against the Philippine Army Lady Troopers.

The middle hitter, known for her signature running attack, played alongside fellow Thai Patcharee Saengmuang.
