Superal, Del Rosario boost LPGT Sherwood cast

MANILA, Philippines - Asian Gamers Princess Superal and Pauline del Rosario signed up for the ICTSI Sherwood Ladies Championship, boosting the compact roster in the P750,000 event which gets going Tuesday at the Sherwood Hills Golf Club in Trece Martires, Cavite.

Superal is eyeing a repeat of her record feat in the inaugural staging of the ladies pro tour last year when she humbled the pros with a 17-under 190, beating Chihiro Ikeda by eight at John Hay.

The upcoming event is the season-ending leg of this year’s Ladies Philippine Golf Tour sponsored by International Container Terminal Services Inc. with Superal out to upstage the pros again, including four-leg winner Cyna Rodriguez, Riviera stage winner Jayvie Agojo, and Splendido leg champion Amolkan Phalajivin of Thailand.

Del Rosario, a Faldo Series champion and teammate of Superal in the gold medal winning team, including Miya Legaspi, in the recent Santi Cup, is also tipped to contend for the crown along with a slew of top amateurs from the ICTSI golf stable.
