Unilab Bike United draws 1,300 cyclists

MANILA, Philippines - United Laboratories, Inc., (Unilab), the country’s leading pharmaceutical and healthcare company, will hold the first of three health and wellness events, entitled Bike United, for the second half of 2010.

The event gathers weekend enthusiasts and competitive bikers for a day of active health and wellness. An expected 1,300 bikers are expected to attend. The event is for the benefit of the Tahanang Walang Hagdan.

Biking events will include a 20K Sunset Fun Ride from McKinley Hill through the Philippine Army Camp; the Alaxan FR 4.2K Road Criterium – a 30-minute urban road race; the I-On Dual Stunt activity, which makes available a specially designed parallel slalom course; Ceelin Kiddie Bike Clinic for kids 7-12 years.

Apart from the biking events, there will be a Unilab Activehealth Village featuring biking expert consultations, diagnostics, and daycare activities for all family members to visit and enjoy. The Unilab village will be divided in zones for Active Adults and Active Kids. Participating Unilab brands include Alaxan FR, Appebon Kids, Ceelin, Dolan, Dolfenal, Enervon Prime, Ph Care, Revicon I-On, and Solmux.
