Antipolo-A rules ARClympics

-

MANILA, Philippines - Team Antipolo-A bested a strong field and emerged on top in six events to capture the grand championship in the annual Great ARClympics at the Marist School in Marikina recently.

The Antipolo-A Giants topped women’s volleyball, badminton doubles (male and female) and badminton mixed doubles and table tennis singles (female) and doubles (male) to dominate the field in the annual sportsfest among the Asiawide Refreshments Corporation (ARC) workforce from the company’s various warehouses, plants and corporate offices in Luzon.

The Metro North Kings and Corporate Warriors finished first and second runners-up, respectively.

The Kings ruled men’s volleyball and topped the 5k fun run through N. Familleza while the Warriors copped the badminton singles (male) plum in the event which had a theme “Working as One, Playing as One, Winning as One.”

The Pampanga Dragons, meanwhile, copped the basketball and table tennis singles (male) crowns in the event held to foster camaraderie between the management and staff and promote the spirit of sportsmanship, collaboration and determination to succeed.

“We have done so well these past few years and we feel that keeping the momentum going is just what we need. With this sporting activity, we hope we were able to spur determination, focus and competitiveness among our employees, for them to continue to strive for excellence,” said Asiawide EVP and COO Gerry Garcia.
