La Salle holds badminton homecoming tournament

As part of the pre-homecoming activities leading to the DLSU Homecoming on March 7, the De La Salle Alumni Association (DLSAA) will be sponsoring a One La Salle badminton tournament entitled, “Totally Smashed – Two to Go, La Salle!” Feb. 28 at the Father Martinez Activity Center (FMAC) La Salle Green Hills, Mandaluyong City.

All alumni/alumnae, currently enrolled students and their parents, faculty and administrators from any La Salle schools are invited to join the combined age group play format.

There will be men’s doubles, ladies’ doubles and mixed doubles categories. The proposed combined age groups are 49 and below, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90-99 and 100 and above. Age grouping shall depend on the number of participants playing. Teams must have at least one Lasallian member.

Entry fee is P800 per person or P1,600 per pair. Trophies will be given to champions and first runners-up. Also, giveaways, raffle prizes, free food and drinks await participants during the awarding ceremonies.

Professional players, coaches, trainers, former or current national team players are not allowed to participate. A player may sign up for a maximum of two events. Proof of age ID is required.

Organizers will accept only 180-200 pre-paid registrants. The tournament is presented by Union Bank-DLSAA Visa Card. Registration form is available at www.dlsaa.com and fax to 5240503 or email to medinam_a@dlsu. edu.ph. Deadline of entries is Feb. 21.
