Mighty Sports holds outreach program

-

For its yearend activity last year, the Mighty Sports Association (MSA), in coordination with the Educational Research and Development Assistance (ERDA) Group, conducted a successful outreach program Dec. 12 at the Tuklasan Center.

The group, headed by Dr. John Edwin Sy and treasurer Harlan Yu, distributed gift packs containing school supplies like bags and toiletries to kids and special packages for the staff working for the ERDA special projects.

Promoting sports as a fun and healthy activity, MSA also donated sports equipment, which now stood mightily high at the court inside the compound.

MSA said the simple gesture and contributions for the development of the poor youth certainly made the kids under the care of ERDA happy.

“They (kids) really felt the spirit of the Yuletide season and we are thankful to Mighty Sports Association for its strong commitment in helping the poor and promoting various sports in the country,” said one ERDA staff.

“We hope they will cherish and value our little gift to them,” said Sy.

The outreach program was MSA’s show of gratitude to yet another mighty year where it won five basketball championships aside from staging various basketball and football clinics.

It also staged a Regional 7-A-Side football tournaments and held its first ever annual golf tournament.

It also made headlines as it won a division championship in the Petron National Production Car Challenge in Subic Bay.
