Problema sa SEA Games hosting

MANILA, Philippines – Nalutas ng Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Olympic Committee at Philippine Sea Games Organizing Committee ang natitirang gusot sa hosting ng 30th Southeast Asian Games sa ginanap na coordination meeting kahapon sa PICC.

Tinalakay din sa pagtitipon ang problema sa procurement ng mga equipments na gagamitin ng Team Philippines sa 2019 Sea Games nga-yong Nobyembre 30 hanggang sa Disyembre 11 sa New Clark City, Metro Manila at Tagaytay City.

“Tell us your problems and let’s get them solutions. Let’s resolve all issues today and make sure we smoothly host the games,” sabi ni PSC chairman at Team Philippines Chief of Mission William Ramirez.

Bukod kay Ramirez, dumalo rin sa pagtitipon sina POC president Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino at Tom Carrasco, ang Phisgoc executive-director na siyang kumatawan para kay Phisgoc chairman at Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano.

Kabilang din sa mga niresolba ang nalalabing paghahanda para sa mga venues partikular na sa weighlifting, squash, kickboxing, skateboarding at obstacles sports.

Pinag-usapan rin ang problema sa ticketing, accommodation, venues, transportation at logistics mahigit dalawang buwan at 15 araw bago sa opening sa Nobyembre 30 sa Philippine Arena sa Bocaue, Bulacan.

“This gathering  will be a test of leadership of Filipino sports leaders. This will be a challenge. Today we are not PSC, POC or Phisgoc. We are all Philippine team,” pahayag ni Ramirez sa pagtitipon para sa lahat ng 56 national sports associations (NSAs) na kasali sa Sea Games.

Dumalo rin sina POC chairman Steve Hontiveros at mga PSC Commissioners na sina Charles Maxey at Celia Kiram gayundin si deputy chef de mission Stephen Fernandez.

Mahigit 530 event sa kabuuang 56 sports disciplines ang paglalabanan ng inaasahang 9,840 athletes.
