GMA, may paghahanda na ang 2025 Elections

Bilang bahagi ng proactive preparations para sa nalalapit na midterm elections, nag-collab ang GMA Integrated News at Regional TV and Synergy, at pinagsama-sama ang kanilang multimedia journalists para sa GMA Masterclass: Road to the 2025 Elections na ginanap noong May 25, Saturday sa Studio 5, GMA Network Center.

Kabilang sa mga sumali ang anchors, reporters, video journalists, program managers, station managers, and writers mula sa GMA News Manila, GMA Regional TV, GMA News Online, Super Radyo DZBB, and RGMA.

Ang nag-provide ng mahahalaga at useful information tungkol sa nalalapit na midterm national and local elections ay sina COMELEC Chairperson Atty. George Erwin Garcia, University of the Philippines Diliman Journalism Professor Dr. Rachel Khan, GMA Legal Affairs Department Assistant Vice President for Litigation & Special Projects Atty. Jose Vener Ibarra, NMI Information Security and Data Privacy Assistant Vice President Rodel Arenas, and GMA Integrated News Social Media Manager Audrey Mae Domasian.

Ipinakita ni Atty. Garcia ang overview ng 2025 midterm elections and discussed voter education.

Nasubukan din ng ilang participants ang automated vote counting machine at touch-screen voting machine na gagamitin ng mga registered overseas Filipino voter sa mga teritoryong hindi pinapayagan ang internet voting.

Binigyang diin naman ni Dr. Khan, ang impact ng Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) sa pulitika at kung paano makaka-adapt ang media practitioners sa A.I. tools for election coverage.

Atty. Ibarra discussed election laws governing media.

Lastly, pinaliwanag naman nina Arenas and Domasian kung paano maka-detect ng deepfakes and online disinformation, and shared tools sa A.I. detection.

GMA Integrated News, Regional TV, and Synergy Senior Vice President and Head Oliver Victor B. Amoroso underscored the importance of the said Masterclass.

Hosting the GMA Masterclass were Saksi and 24 Oras Weekend anchor Pia Arcangel and GMA Synergy sportscaster and 24 Oras’ Game Changer segment host Martin Javier.

Entertaining the attendees with his powerful performance was The Clash Season 5 grand champion John Rex.
