Brownlee excited nang isuot ang Gilas jersey
MANILA, Philippines — Excited na si Barangay Ginebra import Justin Brownlee na suotin ang Gilas Pilipinas jersey sa oras na maaprubahan ang naturalization nito sa Kongreso.
Desidido si Brownlee na maging naturalized player ng Pilipinas.
Sa katunayan, wala itong mintis sa bawat sesyon na ipinatatawag ng House of Representatives at Senate sa kabila ng pagiging abala nito sa ensayo at mga aktuwal na laro ng Gin Kings.
“I just feel blessed and humbled to be in this position. And I just want to thank those who have been involved and help me get to this point,” ani Brownlee.
Kasalukuyang nasa third at final reading na ang naturalization nito sa House of Representatives.
Nakakuha ang House Bill No. 6224 ng 274 affirmative votes.
Kaya naman wala nang nakikita pang balakid ang Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas para maisakatuparan ito.
“I can’t wait to represent the Philippines in whatever tournament or FIBA window. I’m excited because I know a lot of Ginebra fans wanted me to play for the national team,” ani Brownlee.
Suportado ni Gin Kings coach Tim Cone ang naturalization ni Brownlee.
Matapos ang ensayo, agad na tutulak si Brownlee sa mga pagdinig sa Kongreso — bagay na hinangaan ni Cone sa dedikasyon ng Ginebra import.
Target ng SBP na mapabilis ang naturalization ni Brownlee upang makapaglaro na ito sa February window ng FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
