MANILA, Philippines – Matapos siyang ideklarang persona non grata, dumipensa si Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV ngayong Lunes sa naging pahayag niya tungkol sa Davao City.
Sinabi ni Trillanes na masakit talaga ang katotohanan matapos niyang bansagang “most dangerous city” ang naturang lungsod.
“The truth, definitely, hurts,” reaksyon ng senador.
“My statement was based on the December 2015 statistics of the PNP that Davao City has the highest incidence of murder and second highest in rape,” patuloy niya.

Sa pagpupulong ng city council ngayong Martes sa pangunguna ni Davao City vice mayor Bernard Al-ag ay idineklara nila si Trillanes na persona non grata na ibig sabihin ay hindi siya tatanggapin sa lungsod.
"Declaring that my city is the most dangerous city in the Philippines is not acceptable! This is an insult to the 1.6 million Dabawenyos who are working hard everyday to make our city safe," sabi ng vice mayor.
"Mr. Trillanes, we do not need you here in Davao City. You are unwelcome and unwanted in our city of Davao. You have not done anything good at all to our city," dagdag niya.
Sinabi ni Trillanes na alam naman ng mga Dabawenyo ang nangyayari sa kanilang lugar ngunit nananahimik na lamang aniya sila dahil sa takot.
“The people of Davao either know it but tolerate it out of fear or they've actually believed the lie that was fed to them that Davao City is the safest city in the world,” ani senador.
