Ginebra tatapusin ang Meralco sa Game 6

MANILA, Philippines — Matapos agawin ang 3-2 lead sa kanilang semifinals series ng Meralco noong Linggo at humingi ng paumanhin si Barangay  Ginebra coach Tim Cone sa kanilang mga fans sa Batangas.

Plano kasi ng Gin Kings na tapusin ang Bolts sa Game Six ng kanilang best-of-seven semis showdown sa Season 48 PBA Philippine Cup bukas sa Smart Araneta Coliseum.

“I’m sorry to the fans of Batangas but if we don’t see them, I’ll be very, very happy,” sabi ng two-time PBA Grand Slam champion coach.

“But if we do, hopefully, we can put on a show for them.”

Sakaling makatabla ang Meralco sa Ginebra ay gagawin ang Game Seven sa Biyernes sa San Jose, Batangas.

“That’s not something we worry about,” wika ni Cone. “Certainly not something we want to think about. Right now, it’s just one ahead of us. And that’s what we want to think about, just that one game.”

Bumangon ang Gin Kings mula sa isang 15-point deficit para balikan ang Bolts, 89-84, sa Game Five para ang­kinin ang 3-2 bentahe sa kanilang serye noong Linggo sa MOA Arena sa Pasay City.

Ang mananalo sa duwelo ang sasagupa sa San Miguel, winalis ang Rain or Shine sa kanilang semis war, sa best-of-seven championship series.

Hangad ng Ginebra ang kanilang ika-31 finals appearance target ang pang-16 korona.
