Bumanat din ang tatay ni Mayweather

MANILA, Philippines - Kung si Floyd Mayweather Sr. ang tatanungin, hindi dapat nakukuha ni Manny Pacquiao ang ma-laking atensyon matapos dominahin si Chris Algieri.

Sa panayam ni host Jenna J ng On The Ropes Boxing Radio, kinutya ni Mayweather si Pacquiao dahil sa kabiguan nitong pabagsakin nang tuluyan si Algieri sa kabila ng pagpapatumba sa challenger ng anim na beses.

“It (Pacquiao win) ain’t nothing to get crazy about, nothing to get crazy about. Pacquiao got a win and it’s started like it’s a big thing all over again,” sabi ni Mayweather, Sr.

“The big thing is now that he was knocking all the big guys out, he was knocking the big guys that can box and fight. Shane Mosley, the Puerto Rican kid, he was knocking them cold and now all of the sudden, he fought a fight with his natural strength and he’s knocking them down but that ain’t nothing,” dagdag pa nito.

Pinabagsak ni Pacquiao si Algieri sa second round, dalawa sa rounds six at nine at isa sa  10th para sa kanyang unanimous decision win noong nakaraang Linggo sa Macau.

Ngunit hindi bumilib sa kanya ang ama ni undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr.

“He’s knocking a guy down six times, why did the guy not stay down? He was knocking them cold (before), ain’t nobody going out cold no more, what’s that all about?” sabi ni Mayweather, Sr.

Matapos ang laban ay hinamon ng Filipino icon si Floyd Mayweather Jr. na labanan siya para sa inaabangan nilang showdown.

Kumpiyansa naman si Mayweather, Sr. na mananalo ang kanyang anak sakaling matuloy ang laban kay Pacquiao.

“I’m looking at the si-tuation and it’s not exact-ly clear what’s happening with Floyd but I’ll tell you this right here, I’m pretty sure if there’s fight, I’m pretty sure he’d come out on top,” wika ni Mayweather, Sr. “Floyd, at the end of the day, what he decides to do and what he wants to do, it’s on him. All I can do is sit back and look.”
