First Andrea O. Veneracion international choral competition

MANILA, Philippines - The Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral Festival will hold the first international choral competition in the country with the participation of selected choirs from different parts of the world. The festival will take place at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) on August 7-10.

The festival includes the following competition categories: folk music, chamber choir and vocal ensemble category. Opening and closing ceremonies and a gala concert of the Philippine Madrigal Singers will be held to mark its 50 years of unwavering commitment to the highest standards of choral excellence, having won the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing twice, and for its recognition as the most awarded choir in Asia.
