Hyatt hotel and casino Manila's New GM

MANILA, Philippines - Richard Simmons has been formally announced as the new general manager of Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila. Richard commenced his career in the hotel industry with the Hyatt International in Sydney, Australia in 1986. After completing an intensive management training program in Hyatt Regency Dubai in 1990, Richard pursued his hotel career with various roles in rooms division and sales and marketing. Since 1994, Richard has remained in Asia with senior appointments in Hong Kong, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Macau and now, the Philippines. His commitment and dedication has gained him over 20 years of rich experience working for the Hyatt brand. 

Between 2004 and 2007, Richard made a career move to Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts with postings in Beijing and Mactan Island, Cebu.

Richard also looks forward to his family being enriched with living in the Philippines by experiencing the many diverse destinations across the country – Boracay and of course, Cebu, being favourite choices but with many still to discover.
