MANILA, Philippines — Kumpiyansa ang Phi­lippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) sa magiging kampanya ng Alas Pilipinas women’s volleyball team sa 2024 AVC Challenge Cup sa Mayo 22-29.

Ang koponan ni Bra­zilian coach Jorge Souza de Brito ay magkahalong mga veterans at collegiate standouts.

“We have a very solid lineup and I’m positive that our players will do their best in this tournament,” wika ni PNVF president Ramon ‘Tats’ Suzara.

Opisyal na magsisimula ang paluan bukas sa Rizal Memorial Coliseum sa Vito Cruz, Manila.

Ang tropa ay binubuo nina team captain Jia De Guzman, Eya Laure, Sisi Rondina, Vanie Gandler, Dell Palomata, Cherry Nunag, Fifi Sharma, Faith Nisperos, Jen Nierva at Dawn Catindig.

Kasama rin sina collegiate standouts Angel Canino, Thea Gagate, Julia Coronel at Ara Panique.

Ang Alas Pilipinas ay nasa Pool A kasama ang Australia, India, Iran at Chinese Taipei habang nasa Pool B ang defending champion Vietnam, runner-up Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Singapore at Hong Kong.

Unang haharapin ng mga Pinay spikers ang Australia sa Huwebes kasunod ang India sa Biyernes, ang Iran sa Sabado at ang Chinese Taipei sa Linggo.
