Letter to the Editor — Attention LTO

Did anyone of you bother to monitor the PUJ units who don't have fare matrix but illegally collect minimum fare of P6 instead of P5 only? These kind of road cheaters are as many as hundreds if I'm not mistaken. They were to have fare matrix (taripa) supposedly last year, but for whatever lousy reasons, your office doesn't implement strict regulations on how to catch these PUJ drivers abusing the fare matrix law. Come on, it's been almost one year since the fare hike has been approved.

Please don't wait for complaints because it is your responsibility to implement the law and protect the riding public at all cost.

And a bit of trivia ( in case you still haven't known) Student Fare Discount is not implemented here in Cebu. Student needs to pay P5 only? Ows? PUJ drivers don't acknowledge such ordinance and if a student passenger insists on demanding a fare discount, trouble would surely come next.

PUJ drivers nowadays don't respect LTO men, and for obvious reasons. You're not serious in catching them even though they violate your laws for even one year! What happened to your deputy agents? Gone AWOL?
