Prime Video Philippines reaffirms commitment to entertainment as subscription rates rise

MANILA, Philippines — Prime Video Philippines has announced a subscription price increase, raising its monthly subscription fee from P149 to P249.
The annual subscription fee will also increase from P1,390 to P1,669, equivalent to approximately P139 per month.
Under the annual plan, subscribers can save P1,319 per year compared with paying monthly. The total cost of monthly payments amounts to P2,988 per year, while the annual plan costs P1,669.
The new pricing took effect on Oct. 21 for new subscribers, while existing subscribers will be charged the new rate beginning Nov. 21, providing a one-month notice period.
The streaming platform clarified that the new monthly price of P249 is already inclusive of value-added tax (VAT), meaning subscribers will not incur additional local taxes beyond the announced price.
