Man nabbed for stealing diesel

MANILA, Philippines — A man was arrested for allegedly stealing P2,000 worth of diesel in Barangay Payatas, Quezon City on Sunday night.

The suspect, identified only as Bernard, 28, is facing a theft complaint before the city prosecutor’s office.

Police apprehended the suspect after he climbed out of a garage with a fuel container at a compound in Barangay Payatas.

When questioned, Bernard claimed that he was instructed by the nephew of the compound’s owner to get diesel from a vehicle tank to be used for a backhoe.

The suspect yielded 20 liters of diesel.
