MANILA, Philippines — A fisherman who went missing after his boat encountered strong winds and big waves caused by Tropical Depression Isang was rescued off Bajo de Masinloc in Zambales, the Philippine Coast Guard reported.

In a statement, the PCG said FFB Saider was sailing southwest toward Bajo de Masinloc with 13 fishermen onboard when the fishing boat officers found that Roberto Albior was missing.

The PCG-Zambales dispatched its BRP Cape San Agustin to first assist the remaining 12 fishermen and bring them safely back to Subic, Zambales.

The Cape San Agustin sailed back to search for Albior, 53, who was rescued after Jessie Aquilles of the Chief Iver informed the rescue team of his exact location.
