Ipatupad party-list continues advocacies

MANILA, Philippines — Over the past years, Ipatupad party-list has been helping Filipinos in all aspects of life – from education to health care to development in the countryside – standing firm on the belief that a high tide lifts all boats.
The organization’s first nominee, Venus Emperado, knew the importance of all this, owing to her 14-year experience as overseas Filipino worker in Singapore, which shaped her understanding of the challenges and aspirations of hardworking OFWs.
She collaborated with Rep. Victor Yap in 2015, along with Temasek Foundation, to send 100 Filipino scholars to the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore for an executive training on urban development.
The effort paid off as it played a crucial role in the foundational planning of New Clark City in Tarlac, which has since attracted $2.5 billion in investment pledges and is projected to create 600,000 jobs – solidifying its impact on economic growth thru job creation.
As to health care, Ipatupad donated renovations assistance to V. Luna General Hospital in Quezon City, the medical facility for wounded soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The hospital acknowledged her “invaluable support and generosity in facilitating the realization of the construction of the five-storey multi-purpose building and parking space.”
In the future, the organization plans to help build modern public hospitals across the archipelago, which includes upgrading of medical facilities, integrating advanced medical technologies and ensuring that health care professionals have access to the latest medical tools and resources.
On rural development, Emperado has forged partnerships with local officials across the country, securing their commitment to implement Ipatupad’s development-oriented programs and projects aimed at reducing rural poverty and offering livelihood programs for communities.
The group also actively promotes job creation through various initiatives like job fairs.
The June 2024 MECO-DMW Migrant Workers Job Fair and Career Expo in Isabela and September 2024 One in Taiwan Job Fair in Ilocos Sur connected thousands of applicants with potential employers.
For Ipatupad, listed 11th on the printed ballot of the Commission on Elections, job creation is not just an initiative, but a pathway to a more prosperous and equitable Philippines.
The group’s commitment extends to supporting volunteers during disasters and proposing allowances and medical coverage, among others.
In a survey, Ipatupad ranked 23rd out of 160 party-list groups. The organization remains steadfast in its mission to serve the Filipino people and build a stronger Philippines, grounded in the values of opportunity, security and equitable development.
