4 held for P3.4 million shabu in Las Piñas

MANILA, Philippines — Four high-value suspects in the illegal drug trade were arrested after they were caught with around 500 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu valued at P3.4 million in Las Piñas on Thursday night.

Roselle Panganiban, 34; Renato Mariscotes, 49; Datumanor Butuan, 41, and Leonardo Montero, 42, were apprehended by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in a sting in Barangay C.A.A.-B.F. International at around 7:30 p.m.

The suspects allegedly met with PDEA agents who posed as buyers at the corner of Saging and Strawberry streets for a drug deal.

After they accepted the marked money, other PDEA agents moved in and placed the suspects under arrest.

The suspects are facing criminal charges of violating Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law.
