COTABATO CITY, Philippines — A barangay treasurer and his two-year-old daughter were killed in an ambush in Barangay Rosary Heights 7 in this city on Friday.

Mhads Mamantal, treasurer of Barangay Mother Bagua, and his daughter Norlyn were in a minivan when they were waylaid along Oblates Drive.

Their companion, Saddam Mamantal, was wounded.

Col. Querubin Manalang Jr., city police chief, said the victims were declared dead on arrival at the Cotabato Regional Medical Center.
