P7.48 million shabu seized in Iloilo

ILOILO CITY, Philippines — More than a kilo of shabu with an estimated street value of P7.48 million was seized in an anti-narcotics operation in Estancia, Iloilo on Thursday.

Police said Arman Diocos, 40, the target of the operation, and his brother Michael, 35, were apprehended after selling a sachet of the illegal drugs worth P10,000 to undercover agents in Barangay Cano-an.

Estancia police chief Lt. Renzo Martinez said Arman reportedly sourced his supply from Roxas City, which he transacted through a contact at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.

A 12-gauge improvised shotgun, a holster and drug paraphernalia were recovered from the suspects, police said.

In Bulacan, police seized more than eight kilos of marijuana yesterday.

Reports reaching Bulacan police chief Col. Relly Arnedo said six kilos of marijuana worth P720,000 were recovered from an alias Glen in Barangay Pinagbakahan in Malolos.

An alias Reyvin was arrested for alleged possession of more than two kilos of dried marijuana leaves worth P243,600 in Barangay Santol in Balagtas.
