Fires hit Valenzuela factory, Malabon warehouse

MANILA, Philippines — Fires broke out at a warehouse in Malabon on Monday night and a factory in Valenzuela before dawn yesterday.

The warehouse, which contained fabrics, caught fire at around 9:58 p.m. on Monday and reached third alarm at 11:13 p.m., according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

The fire was put out at past 6:03 a.m. yesterday.

In Valenzuela, a fire was reported at around 3:35 a.m. at a tire factory along Rubber Master Road in Barangay Lingunan yesterday.

The fire lasted for more than 10 hours and reached fourth alarm before it was put out at around 2:18 p.m.

No casualties and injuries were reported in both incidents, according to the BFP.

Arson probers in Malabon and Valenzuela have yet to identify the cause of the fires.
