3 die in Pangasinan vehicular mishaps

LINGAYEN, Philippines — Three persons died in separate vehicular accidents in Pangasinan on Sunday.

The Ilocos region police identified the fatalities as Nilo Solis, 54; Marine Sgt. Michael Nebran, 34, and Marcelino Valdez, 54.

Initial investigation indicated that a pick-up truck driven by Fedio Molina was traveling in Barangay Dilan, Pozorrubio when it ran over Solis, who was walking along the roadside.

Solis was declared dead on arrival at the Pozorrubio Community Hospital.

Police said Molina tested positive for alcohol.

In Agno town, Nebran was biking in Barangay Boboy when he lost control of the wheel and crashed on the pavement.

Nebran was declared dead on arrival at the municipal health center, police said.

In Alcala, Valdez was on a motorcycle when he collided with an aluminum van in Barangay Anulid. He was declared dead on arrival at the Bayambang District Hospital.

Meanwhile, Gilbert Valdez was reportedly drunk when he figured in an accident in Barangay Casampagaan, Laoac town.

He was brought to the Manaoag Community Hospital for treatment of injuries.
