Teacher stabbed dead

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — A public school teacher was stabbed to death in Surigao City on Thursday.

Police identified the victim as Clarence May Sulima of the Surigao City Elementary School.

The suspect, Joseph Guimarie, who surrendered to barangay officials, confessed that he used a kitchen knife to kill Sulima.

The identification cards, a passbook and the other personal belongings of the victim were reportedly recovered from the suspect.

Probers have yet to determine the motive for the killing.
