Boy, 2, strangled to death by ‘drug user’ ma

MANILA, Philippines — A woman allegedly hooked on illegal drugs reportedly strangled to death her two-year-old son in Bacoor, Cavite on Tuesday.

Rhina Maninang is facing a complaint of parricide for the gruesome crime, which occurred in Barangay Talaba 1 at around 7 a.m.

A brother of the boy and another witness told probers they saw the suspect strangle the victim.

The boy died at the scene.

Police said the suspect is known in the community as a drug user.

The father of the victim has filed a criminal complaint against the suspect.
