Go attends Super Health Center groundbreaking in Camarines
MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go attended the groundbreaking for another Super Health Center in Talisay, Camarines Norte on Saturday.
With Go during the event was his fellow senator Robinhood Padilla.
Go said the facility is expected to make basic healthcare services more accessible to residents.
“The Super Health Center is a medium-type polyclinic, which provides dental, laboratory and X-ray services pati na ang panganganak. At kung gusto ni mayor, pwede niyang palakihin yan later or palagyan ng dialysis machine at ite-turn over na po sa local government unit,” Go said.
“Isa po ito sa mga paraan para mailapit ang serbisyo medikal sa ating mga kababayan at madi-decongest ang mga ospital. Hindi na kailangan ng mga buntis na pumunta ng ospital dahil puwede na silang manganak sa Super Health Center pati primary care,” he said.
Go, chair of the Senate committee on health and demography, stressed the importance of investing in healthcare infrastructure to enhance the delivery of affordable medical services.
He commended the local officials including Gov. Ricarte Padilla and Talisay Mayor Donovan Mancenido for committing to look after the welfare of their constituents.
The Super Health Center offers basic medical services under one roof such as database management, out-patient, birthing, isolation, diagnostics (laboratory, X-ray, ultrasound), pharmacy and ambulatory surgical unit.
Other available services include eye, ear, nose and throat check up as wells as oncology, physical therapy and rehabilitation, and telemedicine, wherein remote diagnosis and treatment of patients can be done.
Aside from Talisay, the Department of Health has also identified the towns of Daet and Mercedes as sites for more Super Health Centers.
After the groundbreaking, Go led a relief operation at the Talisay Municipal Sports Complex, where 1,500 indigent students received grocery packs, snacks, face masks and vitamins.
