New Red Cross facility to rise in Cavite

Marc Jayson Cayabyab - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Property giant Ayala Land formally turned over on Wednesday a portion of its Vermosa estate for the construction of a Philippine Red Cross (PRC) facility in Cavite.

PRC chairperson and former senator Richard Gordon and Ayala Land president and chief executive officer Bernard Vincent Dy attended the ceremonial turnover and signing of the deed of donation at the Ayala Tower One and Exchange Plaza in Makati.

“We are honored to have the support of Ayala Land Inc., and we welcome other like-minded partners to join us in our mission to alleviate human suffering and promote human dignity,” Gordon said.

He said the PRC facility is seen to “enhance” the residential area in Vermosa by providing a blood bank, medical services and training for volunteers.
