Jeepney driver hurt in road rage shooting

MANILA, Philippines — A 60-year-old jeepney driver was injured after being shot by an unidentified suspect during a road rage incident in Las Piñas City on Sunday.

Celso Sabater remains in critical condition in the hospital, according to city police chief Col. Jaime Santos.

Probers said Sabater was in his jeep at an open parking lot in Las Piñas when he was confronted by the suspect. 

The suspect, police said, was furious about Sabater’s behavior in driving his vehicle.

A heated altercation ensued until the suspect punched Sabater.  When the victim tried to get out of his vehicle, the suspect fired at Sabater before fleeing on a motorcycle.
