PCG nabs suspected ‘fixer’

Robertzon Ramirez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — An alleged “fixer” – a person who makes arrangements for other people – was arrested by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in an operation at a mall in Parañaque City on Monday night along with her alleged accomplice.

In a statement, the PCG said Princess Sandra Macapeges was arrested in a follow-up operation shortly after the arrest of her alleged accomplice, Sherhana Hatae.

The PCG said it staged an operation after receiving reports that Macapeges was allegedly asking P15,000 to P115,000 from applicants in exchange for a sure entry into the Coast Guard.

During the operation, the PCG said its operatives arrested Hatae, who claimed that Macapeges ordered her to receive the money from an applicant.
