Trains resume trips
MANILA, Philippines — Trips at the Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3), Light Rail Transit Lines 1 and 2 (LRT-1 and LRT-2) as well as the Philippine National Railways (PNR) resumed yesterday as weather improved after Super Typhoon Karding left the country.
The MRT-3 management said normal operations resumed with 14 three-car trains in the mainline.
The MRT-3 adjusted its service hours on Sunday, with its last trip at around 6:30 p.m. due to bad weather.
The LRT-1 shortened its trips on Sunday due to the typhoon, according to private operator Light Rail Manila Corp.
PNR trips also resumed yesterday after operations in Metro Manila, Lucena and San Pablo were suspended on Sunday.
