‘Flooding in Valenzuela barangay controlled’

MANILA, Philippines — Flooding in Barangay Wawang Pulo, Valenzuela City has been controlled as the local government helped fix the cracks in the dike in the neighboring town of Obando, Bulacan.

Outgoing Valenzuela Mayor Rex Gatchalian said the city government has sealed one of two breaches in the Obando dike.

Valenzuela also donated a floodgate to be installed at the Lawa area in Obando, Gatchalian said.

The local government of Obando would be in- charge of fixing the other crack in the Pala-pala section of the Obando dike.
