Six nabbed for illegal cockfight

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — Six persons were arrested for engaging in illegal cockfighting in Bongabon, Nueva Ecija on Saturday.

Alexis Aquino, 39; Samuel Ignacio, 45; Leo Haze Matutino, 28; Sonny Boy Rivera, 27; Aldrin Salonga, 34, and Noel Valerio, 38, were arrested in Barangay Olivete, according to Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay.

The suspects were taken to the police station for questioning.

Probers said they seized from the suspects four game fowls, two gaffs and P1,800 cash.
