Alleged member of drug, theft ring falls

MANILA, Philippines — A man reported to be a member of a drug and theft gang operating in Pateros was arrested on Friday, police said yesterday.

Zaldy Salvador, 40, was caught in a drug sting along M. Almeda street in Barangay Sto. Rosario-Silangan, Southern Police District chief Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg said in a statement.

Salvador, who yielded around two grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu with a street value of P13,600, is also in Pateros’ unified drug watchlist.
