Mild quake rocks Northern Mindanao

MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude-3.8 earthquake rocked parts of Northern Mindanao yesterday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivocs) said.

The quake occurred at 4:54 a.m., and its epicenter was located 16 kilometers northeast of Pangantucan, Bukidnon.

It was felt at Intensity 3 in Pangantucan; Intensity 2 in Don Carlos and Maramag, both in Bukidnon, and Intensity 1 in Cagayan de Oro City.

No damage or aftershocks were expected from the quake, Phivolcs said.
