3 dead in road mishaps

TUGUEGARAO, Philippines — Three persons died while another was injured in separate vehicular accidents in Cagayan and Isabela on Saturday.

Patricia Besa, 63, and Lilia Berbano, 60, were crossing the streets in this city and in Sta. Teresita, Cagayan, respectively, when they were hit by motorcycles.

The victims died while being rushed to nearby hospitals.

Drivers Ferdinand Arches and Alexander Santiago surrendered to responding police officers.

Meanwhile, in Isabela, Santi Belen died while his companion Marnel Collado was injured after they were hit by a delivery van in Barangay Alinam, Cauayan City.

Driver Leo Alvin Pagtulingan was taken to the police station for questioning.
