Aklan bettor wins P246 million lotto jackpot

MANILA, Philippines — A bettor from Aklan won the jackpot of the 6/58 UltraLotto drawn on Friday, according to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.

The winner, who placed the bet at a lotto outlet in Banga town, guessed the winning numbers 24-09-32-41-29-22. The total jackpot is P246,085,102.

The winner will not be able to take home the entire jackpot as lotto winnings above P10,000 are subject to a 20 percent tax. This means an estimated P49.2 million will be deducted from the prize.

Sixteen other bettors hit five of the winning numbers and won P120,000 each.

The 6/58 Ultra Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

The jackpot will revert to the minimum P49.5 million in tonight’s draw.
