MANILA, Philippines — The Manila government has allotted P10 billion for housing projects and acquisition of medical equipment for the city’s hospitals, according to Mayor Isko Moreno.

Moreno said the local government identified 10 more sites to build houses for informal settlers and city hall employees.

“We want to build more houses, an honest to goodness new era of in-city vertical housing,” he said a during a meeting with LandBank officials on Friday.

Moreno said the projects were in line with the city’s land for the landless and Build, Build, Build programs.

LandBank vice president for public sector Esperanza Martinez said they support the programs initiated by Moreno.
