900 kilos of bangus from fish kill areas seized

DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines — Around 900 kilos of milkfish affected by fish kill in Pangasinan were confiscated in Barangay Bonuan Gueset in this city before dawn yesterday.

Tests showed that the seized fish were not fit for human consumption.

Evelyn, 60; Larry, 59, and Kevin, all surnamed Venancio, and Jojo Doquenia, residents of Barangay Baquieoen, Sual, were arrested.

A jeepney, an improvised tricycle locally known as garong and a motorcycle were seized from the suspects.

Police conducted the operation in coordination with personnel of the city government agriculture office and anti-hawking department.
