Samar cop chief replaced

TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines — Senior Superintendent Nicolas Torre III has been relieved as director of the Samar police as part of the reorganization being implemented by the Philippine National Police in preparation for the elections.

Torre will be transferred to the regional police office as operations head starting today. He will replace Senior Superintendent Rolando Bade.

Leyte police director Senior Superintendent Dante Novicio will replace Torre.
