MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office premises in Quezon City was reportedly break into by unidentified individuals on Monday.

Director Francis Almora of the LTO’s Law Enforcement Service confirmed that the incident occurred.

The LTO official, however, clarified that there were no important documents taken during the incident.

“There are no sensitive documents taken,” Almora said in Filipino in an interview with dzBB.

Almora added that the offices entered by the burglars have no connection with the plate-making and licensing.

According to Almora, it appears that the burglars are not after the database as well.

The break-in incident was reportedly discovered when workers saw that the office on the second floor was open and rummaged.

Almora said the premises had security personnel but they were bypassed.

The burglars reportedly exited through the aircondition units. — Rosette Adel
