PDEA confiscates P6 million shabu

MANILA, Philippines — More than P6 million worth of shabu was seized from three alleged pushers, including a retired police official, in separate operations in Valenzuela and Caloocan on Wednesday.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized 500 grams of shabu, with a street value of P3.4 million, from alleged courier Kaoki Diyongal Sumaginadin during a sting at a hotel in Valenzuela.

Her alleged supplier, retired senior inspector Ambedkhar Jammad Arajil, and his son Eddie Inian Arajil were arrested in a follow-up operation in Caloocan.

Around 500 grams of shabu and marked money were seized from them.

In Navotas, construction worker Jerry Boy Dimaliwat, 33, was about to sleep Wednesday night when two men wearing masks barged into his house, dragged him out and shot him in the head.

His mother, Evangelina, said her son – who promised to quit using illegal drugs – shouted “Ma, pulis!” although the armed men were wearing civilian clothes.

While a police report said only two unidentified assailants barged in, Evangelina said she saw three men waiting for their companions to bring her son outside. – Marc Jayson Cayabyab
